These are the top 8 designs out of the sixteen. I really like the 2nd one down in the right column but I still need to see which one works the best for what I am trying to do

Lookin' much better bro! :) I'm really liking the first two designs on the right, on the top and second row. Whether you decide to keep the circles or not, it's all good from there. Just continue to push them if you decide to keep the circles.
As for the frets on the neck, maybe you want to bold them a bit more, so they won't be lost when you resize the logo, or the guitar by itself. Again, keep pushin' bro, liking what you're doing here. :)
