New version of the letterhead

Im trying to make the letterhead fit more along the lines of the envelope and business card. although it cant be completely black this is what I am working with so far

I have to thank tres for this one. I was trying to think about what to do for the front of the card and when he suggested this i had to try it out. it seems better in my opinion and i can still push the design. I am feeling better so I am able to focus more

The First Envelope Designs

These are the first designs for the envelope. I have kept the design similar to its other counterparts and its balanced and works within those boundaries. Now I am going to try and push it to the point that I have 5 designs that are completely different from each other and see which one works the best

Im trying to come up with at least 5 different designs. This letter head goes with the first business card. Im still trying to push it though and see what i can come up with

Starting the Business card designs

I have started the designs. Im still playing around with the concept. These are my "just right now" designs. I am going to keep pushing every aspect of course. I have been focusing on getting the feel of the design to match both my style as the designer and the emotion that needs to be conveyed for the company. This is a challenge for me because rock and roll is completely out of my norm. However, thats why i chose this project in the first place. 

The TOP 8!!!!!!!

These are the top 8 designs out of the sixteen. I really like the 2nd one down in the right column but I still need to see which one works the best for what I am trying to do

THE NEW DESIGNS

These are the new design concepts I have been looking at the various designs for the flying v guitar and have changed it up to fit the design that I have in place right now. I really like the point where I am at. I just need to decide on one primary logo and stick with it the rest of the way

Drawing Update

Aside from the graphic design I am working on various works of art. This is an update on the largest drawing that I have ever done. Currently it is 4.5 ft by 6 ft

This is the next step. I am trying to give the guitar a little more definition and still have its simplicity. I have to decide if this is the last phase or if i want more. i am going to keep pushing it and then see what I should do.

ALMOST THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the next step. The softness and the edginess of the guitar helps to balance out the bold 37 and the rough texture of the and main. The red helps balance out the a rock cafe as well. I really like this concept. I am going to work with the design some more but i think that it is coming out to become a really strong composition.

37th and main new concept designs

  These are some new ideas. The guitar is just a live trace that I did for placement. I am going to develop my guitar design on my own. Im going to go back to square one so that I can come up with a design that I believe  best exemplifies the idea of "rock". These concepts are going off the the idea that I have in place already and I want to develop it further. 

This was the version before the previous. it was getting somewhere but the simplified one is better

GETTING CLOSE THE FINAL STEP

I BELIEVE THAT I AM GETTING CLOSE. I FORGOT MY USB DRIVE AT HOME SO I BASICALLY HAD TO DO THE WHOLE THING OVER AND IT IS VERY SIMILAR BUT HAS SOME DISTINCT VARIATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL. THE AND MAIN PORTION IS GOING TO BE ROUGH WITH THE TEXT TO PROMOTE THE IDEA AND IDENTITY OF THE RESTAURANT. THE 37TH WILL REMAIN WITH THAT TYPE FACE TO BALANCE IT OUT. IT IS VERY CLEAN WITH MINOR DETAIL; HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THAT IT IS EFFECTIVE. I HAVE USED 50+ TYPE FACES TO DECIDE ON WHICH ONES WOULD BE USED AND A VARIETY OF SKETCHES. I LIKE WHERE IT IS SO FAR. STILL PUSHING IT A LITTLE MORE

New 37th and main Logo

This is the newest change for the logo. I had a vision of adding the circle as an additional element for the design. I am going to still play around with the font choices for the "and main" I need something that is energetic and simple. Im looking for a really good san serif

these designs are put in the order that they were created. I have been working on simplifying the design to make it simpler and still be able to appeal to a variety of people. I am working on finding a new font for the "and main" so that it can add a new element to the image.
